Warning
When an individual deliberately attempts to detach themselves from reality by imagining their continued or simultaneous existence in alternate realities, dimensions, or locations in space time, mental health issues can arise.
Although Eternalism explores the possibility of constantly re-emerging consciousness, your existence here and now is the only certain instance of your consciousness. Despite the theories found within Eternalism, you should assume that this life will be the only instance of your consciousness and that upon your death your existence throughout the entire depth and breadth of time and space will come to an end.
All other incarnations of your consciousness are purely hypothetical.
If you find yourself suffering from any of the following symptoms when contemplating the theories proposed by Eternalism, please seek help from a mental health professional.
- Anxiety
- Paranoia
- Anger
- Inability to relax
- Irrational mistrust or suspicion
- A sense of superiority
- Self-imposed social isolation
- Frequent moral judgement of others
- Lack of empathy
- Thoughts of violence
- Suicidal thoughts
- The desire to self-harm
- A lack of accountability for your actions
- Self-righteous justification for your actions
- Depression
- Obsessive behaviour
- Disregarding ideas that fall outside the parameters of Eternalism
Eternalism, and the beliefs found within Eternalism have been constructed to the best of our abilities, but ultimately whatever the source of these tenants, the final result has been filtered through a very human consciousness, and as is the nature of humanity, it is far from perfect.
